Dr. Renee Ballentine, DO

I am a physician who needed some management of a new health condition. In my mind I thought I knew what the problem was. Dr. Ballentine asked meaningful questions, performed an appropriate and thorough examination, and ordered correlative tests. She made no assumption and did the work to arrive at the correct diagnosis. Doctor Ballentine proved to be thorough and competent. I am very pleased with her care.

After waiting 45 min. in the waiting room, I was taken back, weighed and walked into a room. I'm not sure if it was her RN or an MA but she logged into the computer and states, I see you are here for a cough and shortness of breath. I was there for lower back pain. I made my appointment via "mychart" and specified in the comments why I needed an appointment as well as completed all necessary paperwork online. At this point, I stated that I would wait and see my own PC. I am a UCI employee.

Being a RN, I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to physicians. I was in the position of needing a physician and knew sooner or later I was going to have to make a leap of faith. I stumbled across Dr. Ballentine after a brief visit to the clinic. She has been my primary doctor ever since and has been fabulous! She is knowledgeable, has a breadth of experience, thorough, patient and compassionate. I would highly recommend her to family and friends.
