Professional and Courteous
Doctor Liston, as always, did a great job of thoroughly examining and explaining my condition and treatment options. His staff were also helpful and courteous.

Wonderful experience
Dr. Liston is excellent. He is conscientious, thorough and friendly. The staff is very nice and efficient. The waiting room is spotless. If I could rate over a 10, I would. Over a decade ago Dr. Liston operated on both my eyes. I had weak muscles that caused my eyes to float outward. I have not had any issues in over fifteen years and my eyes still focus straight ahead. After that surgery, it was the first time in my adult life that people didn’t ask if I was speaking to them. Unless someone has experienced that, the relief can’t be comprehended. When I went for the followup appointment and was told I didn’t need to go back, I literally cried. I am so thankful I was referred to him.

Great doctor and practice
Dr. Liston and everyone in the practice was very kind and professional. I was worked in for an urgent problem so I had a little bit of a wait which is to be expected in a busy specialty practice. The care I received was definitely worth the wait! Would recommend this practice to all of my family & friends.

Dr Liston has been a trusted eye doctor for myself and my husband for over 15 years. He is thorough, caring, knowledgeable and takes time to answer all concerns. He helped my husband via a surgical procedure which saved his sight. I am in a medical field so always ask questions. He answers them thoroughly at my appointments in a caring manner. His amazing extensive training, background, years of experience and practice are evident and a gift to our family.

Dr. Liston anticipated my questions well and demonstrated his competence and confidence within this field of medicine. His staff was incredibly professional and kind. By the end of the visit I was certain I was going to come to him again for my yearly ophthalmological needs.

Would not recommend him to anyone! Poor quality of care. Rushed in and out of the visit. Did not ask if we had any concerns or questions! He though would rather scold a child about COVID.

Wait time was minimal, everyone was very professional. Dr. Liston had a great bedside manner and was very compassionate and kind as he gave me the bad news that the surgery my optometrist referred me for would probably not be successful. I would definitely go back to him again if I needed more eye care, and highly recommend him to others.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Liston?
I was referred to Dr. Liston by my new primary care physician as my previous physician retired. She noticed that I have a lazy eye. It was first noticed in my teens by my optometrist and has gradually gotten worse. My physician thought it should be looked at and documented in case it is causing my vision to deteriorate. Dr. Liston began by telling me it was purely cosmetic and if I wanted to have it fixed my insurance would not pay for it. He said this multiple times. I went to him concerned about my vision. He obviously thought that all I wanted was to have cosmetic surgery and for my insurance to pay for it. He was very unprofessional. I told him that I was not interested in anything cosmetic and that I had money to pay for whatever was needed medically. He decided to give me orders for 2 tests that I would pay for although he said they would come out negative. I gave the orders to his asst. and said I would not need them. I would not be coming back. Bad experience.

I have seen Dr. Liston a couple of times. I found him to be a bit abrupt and seemed to rush through the exam. I’m sure he is a very knowledgeable doctor, but should also be “patient friendly”! I think I just talked myself into looking for another doctor!

ABSOLUTELY NOT! The office staff and tech were fine, but Dr Liston was extremely rude! After waiting almost 1 1/2 hours in a warm waiting room we were placed in a room. Once the door was closed we took our masks off of our noses to breathe a little easier. Upon Dr Liston entering the room, we were read the riot act about wearing our masks improperly! He actually left the room and went to see another patient before returning!! VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! We are VERY cautious with our mask wearing that is why we waited until we were in a room. We will NOT be returning to this office.

He was horribly rude, if he is so worried about the ventilation in his practice with the covid, maybe he should take a leave of absence. My daughter had taken my grandson which is only 21 months old, left in the room for a long period of time and he was a little antsy and she was trying to keep him controlled and her mask slid off her nose. Dr Liston told her their rooms were poorly ventilated and she MUST keep her mask over her nose the entire time they were there. He told her he was going to see other patients and will come back once the room airs out. Then when the 21 month old tried to high five the doctor, he told him that he needs to learn to bump elbows. Sounds like it is time to retire. I work at a doctor's office and that is rude and he needs to just stay home if he is that worried. I will be sure we will never send one of our patients his way.

I LEFT IN TEARS!!! My appointment was scheduled 6 months in advance and I arrived with all forms filled out in duplicate...my twin 2-year-old toddlers were both dilated (which I had no warning of) and left in a waiting room for nearly 2 hours. When I approached the staff to ask for help or an update on when we would be seen we were quickly rushed to an exam room where the Dr. became rude and I was told I was more than welcome to leave and reschedule. I chose to finish the exams and at this point the Dr. and his nurse became aggressive with my twins who were both in tears. I will never go back and I pray that another family does not have to go through what we did.

I was surprised by the negative reviews because I really like Dr. Liston. He is knowledgeable, careful, and thorough. If he is running late for our appointment, I assume it’s because of the time and thoughtfulness he gives to his patients. He takes the time to explain what he’s talking about, which I value. I would absolutely recommend him. Maybe just bring a book to read in case you have to wait!

Really awful doctor! We have gone 6 or 7 times with our toddler and our average wait time is 1 1/2 hours at another appointment we waited 4 hours. I don’t see a point in making an appointment especially since he obviously thinks his time is more valuable than his clients who make his paycheck. Also several employees at the front desk are just ridiculously rude. Monica is one of them, she has no class whatsoever. This whole office is a disaster!

Please go to another doctor at another facility not DEY. I took the day off work so I could take my 10 month old, I know the wait can be long as I have been a long time patient of DEY. We waited over 90 minutes and they wanted me to stay another 30-60 minutes more. It was a horrific experience and as usual the doctor was brief and the staff rude. I calmly left with my daughter as staying at the eye doctor with my 10 month old for another hour just was not possiable.

Dr. Liston has been my ophthalmologist for over 10 years and is the best doctor I've ever had. Truly a professional that knows how to do his job. Connectivity with patients is important and shows signs of a good doctor. A man who shows pride in his patients and residents and I am proud to say that it was one of his residents to be the only one to first correctly diagnose my condition of Ocular Albinism. Truly an excellent medical professional and will be my ophthalmologist for years to come.
