Excellent. He is my new primary care doctor. Thorough, as well as completely engaged in my overall health.

Unpleasant Experience
I regret to share my disappointing experience with Dr. Schlotfeldt. My encounters with this medical professional have consistently left me feeling unwelcome, judged, and quite frankly, unsafe. From the very beginning, Dr. Schlotfeldt has displayed a lack of warmth and hospitality that is crucial in any healthcare setting. His demeanor is not only unwelcoming but also remarkably condescending, making it challenging for patients to open up and discuss their health concerns freely.Instead of fostering an environment where patients feel supported, Dr. Schlotfeldt creates an atmosphere of discomfort and anxiety. This has led me to question the quality of care I am receiving and whether my concerns are being taken seriously. Feeling safe and respected in a healthcare setting is paramount, and unfortunately, this has not been my experience with Dr. Schlotfeldt - I do not recommend having him as a medical professional.

I had a great experience!!!
I like a take charge Dr. He was very to the point and answered all of my questions and concerns. He explained things to me that my previous Dr.'s left out. His sense of humor is a bit dry yet refreshing an witty at the same time. His main goal was my healthcare needs and he took care of them as I addressed them one by one during our initial contact. All of my referrals, prescriptions, and follow up appointments were taken care of. The staff was pleasant Especially Laura, the MA or nurse I'm not sure she was fabulous as well. even the front desk PSR was gracious the black lady who's name I forgot . I had paid my copay with cash and then remembered that I had a flex-spend account. She had to delete the process and start the process over and refund my cash and do it over again with my card. She did so very graciously! I would highly recommend this Dr to my friends and family, or anyone else looking for a PCP.

Condescending Doctor
This was my first time going to a doctor in years so I was very nervous. He was very rude right out of the gate. I felt like a preschooler being reprimanded by my teacher. He talks down to you and felt very uncomfortable during the 10 min conversation we had. I definitely will be switching doctors.

My husband and I are both patients of Dr Schlotfeldts. He always seems to be rushed and does not seem to have time nor need to explain the diagnosis to us. He mainly reads lab results, then decides to prescribe medication and does not want to take any time to discuss the reasoning nor give any treatments alternatives. He does not take into consideration that patients have health concerns that require explanations and that patients want to work together with their physician as a team to decide the best course of treatment. This was a very bad experience for us.

Not precise and professional
My experience with Dr.Schlotfeldt was unprofessional and very rushed. Did not listen to my concerns carefully and appropriately. He was basing his current lab work that had been taken months ago. A lot had changed since then, in other words he was behind on his current workload but wanted to base his findings on current date, meanwhile I'm 7 months pregnant now. I will make sure to change PCP immediately.

Impossible to get my prescription
Ordered an excess amount of tests billed over insurance, then refuses treat and give a monthly prescription without calling 3-4 times each month, then they send the wrong amount. Milking the system don't bother with this turkey.

Dr. Schlotfeldt was very kind and friendly, and he made me feel heard as he listened and addressed all my concerns. He made sure that I not only understood the game plan and that I was on board with it but that I was set up for future appointments as well. The office was very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

During my initial appointment, I asked Dr. Schlotfeldt if he could clarify the difference between two medications I was considering. He said one is “a direct stimulant” and one is an “indirect stimulant.” I asked if he could explain that difference and he snapped, “I told you, one is a direct stimulant and one is an indirect stimulant.” He then dismissed further questions. It should be obvious that this response provides no useful information to someone or hour the medical knowledge to distinguish between two medical terms. If a dr. Is too irritated or busy to provide minimally useful information in response to a basic medical question, then he is wasting your time. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

RUDE and standoffish. He approached the visit as if I were hiding information and asked questions in a manner that felt belittling. While this was a routine visit I didn’t feel comfortable bringing up more personal health related questions. I left without the information needed and wasted time and money on this visit. I don’t recommend, his schedule is open for a reason.

He was pushy...did not listen, only wanted answers to his own questions and than he did not even get those facts correct. he put on my History & Physical that I Did Drugs & ETOH...Neither was correct. I rarely even take Motrin anymore...I found BCQ...a natural pain reliever!! (I have knee pain from an old injury & 30 years as an ICU Nurse.)I will do all the stuff he wanted me to do than find another MD. Michele Hamiel RN- Aug 31, 2020

I have been patient of Dr. Schlotfeldt for the last 6 months. My first interaction was due to bad breath problem (halitosis) most likely due to the stress I was in because I am a scientist entrepreneur stating my own company. He start asking me "background" questions, and in a very rude attitude told me "i should go to the doctor ready to answer questions" because I forgot the vaccines I took for my honeymoon trip. Also I did not remember the dosage of Vitamin D I was prescribed. Those two things seemed to bother him. I kid you not. Or maybe it was just my spanish accent. Who knows. My second interaction was due to a calcium deposit on my shoulder (which goes with pain). This calcium deposit happened to me before in my knee (clear with X-rays). My mum had it and my aunt as well. I did not ask for painkillers, but anyway he seemed to not believe me. He ordered a glutamic acid analysis "just to discard gout" (no pain in joints! where did he earn his MD degree??) and also X-rays where h

My husband had an appointment at 7:30 this morning....was stuck in traffic for 1 hour.....when my husband arrived the waiting room was EMPTY! He was a half hour late to his appointment....and the doc wouldn't see him. I could understand if there were people waiting, but come on....especially when my husband Rarely visit the doc....every other year. Very disappointed...my husband never runs late to things....sometimes unfortunately things happen but apparently not for this doc and office staff

He was friendly enough and quite thorough with me. I can understand how people might misinterpret his intellectual style but I'd rather have a cerebral doctor than an uninformed and super friendly one. He made sure I understood everything and listened to all of my issues. He may be a bit curt compared to other docs but he does a fine job at what he is supposed to do -- be a doctor.
