Needs to work on bedside manner
The staff is great however, Dr. Leon is very dismissive and lacks bedside manner. Does not take time to explain what the lab works is looking for or the results of lab work on follow up visit.

Very knowledgeable and kind rheumatologist. Was able to treat and reduce my pain significantly within the first visit and I am pain free after 6 months. Kind staff and clean office. Easy to get appointments that fit busy schedule.

I have RA and have been treated by Dr. Leon for several years. I travel from Virginia Beach to see him in Northem Virginia. He listens to my complains, shows compassion, honesty and good care. I will recommend him to anybody with Rheumatic problems, you will be in the best hands.

My PCP said I had high inflammation markers & he would be able to do additional lab work. After waiting over an hour, he literally squeezed my arms & ask if I was sore. I said no. He said he didn’t see any inflammation. he skimmed through (he didn’t read) the labs my PCP sent to him. He asked me the same question 3 times about low vitamin D and saidthat could be the issue. Results showed that had been fixed! That was it! sent me home with inflammation script (he said he didn’t see inflammation?

Dr. Leon was fair nothing in his care indicates he is skilled or knowledgeable. The office is okay, however when you get into the office you are waiting for a very long time. Office staff is okay, not very professional or friendly. Except for his wife who is very cordial.
