I was not impressed with Dr. Allen, she came across as not listening and trying to be funny, which she wasn't. She seemed to be more concerned about me getting my pap smear and mammogram than the problem I came in with. She was correct in her diagnosis but failed miserably in the after care. #1 she was supposed to send in a prescription that day, she didn't. #2 She said she would call me in a day with the results of my biopsy, she didn't call me. I had to call and leave a message. She was prompt in returning my call but I had to remind her she didn't call in the prescription, she didn't tell my what I have is chronic, she didn't know that anything about the immunotherapy I was on for cancer, and she prescribed the standard medicine. After research on my own, I should not be on that medicine and I need to be on something for the rest of my life. She didn't say to come back for a follow-up, only be sure to make an appointment for my pap smear, which I have cancelled.

Do not see her! – Nov 12, 2021

Dr. Allen is absolutely amazing! I have been a patient of this practice since I moved to Flower Mound in 1999. Dr. Rose delivered both of my children who are now 19 and 16. When Dr. Rose passed away (which has been quite some time now), I began seeing Dr. Allen. Just last Wednesday, April 7th 2021, she performed my laparoscopic hysterectomy which went extremely well. I am so amazed how well I am doing after just 4 days. Dr. Allen is a fantastic doctor as is the staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Flower Mound. I don't understand some of these other reviews as I have always had a wonderful experience with this practice. I highly recommend Dr. Allen and this group of doctors.

In 2016, Dr Allen delivered my son. She was absolutely amazing. She is extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. In 2018, Dr Allen saved my life after she delivered my daughter. She said the whole time after I had my child for her nurses to continuously check me and the last time they checked me I was rushed into surgery. She was leading a wonderful team at the hospital. I am extremely grateful for her. I lost her as a doctor because my insurance dropped her, but found out recently she is back on my insurance and I could not be more blessed to have her as my doctor again.

Dr. Allen is extremely knowledgable and professional. She is extremely attentive and listens to patient concerns and has an overall awareness of patient wellness needs. Best gyn I have ever had, been through quite a few over 25 years.

Awful bedside manner. I had a D&C with ablation. I was extremely sore and bruised. I found out 2 weeks later when I went for my follow up that Dr. Allen informed me my cervix had tore and they stitched it up and that my uterus had been punctured during the ablation procedure. I never went back to her after that. I requested my records from her office and hospital and changed doctor. Took me 3 weeks to recover from my procedure.

This Dr never makes eye contact. Never remembered us at our appointments or bothered to check my file before walking in the door. Pushed for an induction before my 40 weeks because I was due on a holiday (which we denied). We then were pressured to induce again after 40 weeks came and went, my induction failed so we had to do it again the following day. By 9pm that night she was tired of waiting and pushed for a c-section. which we were dumb and reluctantly agreed. She has a 55% c-section rate!!

Dr. Allen delivered my youngest son in 2008. I got pregnant again about 3 years after that and if not for her professionalism, my tube would have ruptured due to an ectopic pregnancy! I will never see another gyno, because I trust her 100%!!!!!

I have seen Dr Allen for the past 8 yrs; one yr the office called me 9 mos after my annual to inform me they made a mistake. Long story short I had HPV & they only caught it b/c of a review. I am now trying to conceive a child so she did some fertility testing. One of her nurses called to share that I was not ovulating, my AMH was low & I needed to call a specialist. I was given his # and that was the end of the call. No time to ask questions, no care for what the info meant to me emotionally.

She was very cold, clinical, condescending and dismissive. I will never know if my pregnancy loss could have been prevented, but the correct diagnosis might have ameliorated some of the discomfort I went through. Dr. Allen is aware that I am anemic. The blood loss following the miscarriage was significant and put my life and health in jeopardy. I was unprepared for this due to her misdiagnosis.

Vicki Jo Allen is a very cold and condescending. I was having a miscarriage right in front of her and she told me I wasn't even pregnant. I had a horrific ordeal miscarrying and the office later called to verify the pregnancy. How can an Ob/Gyn misdiagnose a 5+ week pregnancy?? I will never recommend anyone to her. Go to her at your own peril.

I Love Dr. Allen. She has delivered two of my three babies. We moved over an hour away from Dr. Allen's office about 9 years ago, and I still drive to see her. I wouldn't want anyone else. She is caring, and the most amazing OBGYN in the metroplex.
