Excellent Neurosurgeon
He is a outstanding neurosurgeon. He removed 75% of my right temporal lobe and all of the right hippocampus to reduce my epileptic seizures. Dr. Pilcher is great, and he takes his time when I have questions, and he has always been very good at returning phone calls. Dr. Pilcher changed my life for the better. Dr. Pilcher amazed me being in surgery with me for 8 hrs. if not longer. He knew what he was doing, and I was awake during most of the surgery. Keep up the wonderful work.

If you want to end up with debilitating pain the rest of your life...see this surgeon. I've had 4drs ask who did my laminectomy because of failed back surgery/post laminectomy syndrome. Don't try to call post op to get any help, they ignore you and you will not be able to find another Dr that can fix the damage.

He and his PA Sue Smith were professional, courteous, and extremely competent. I have the utmost confidence in their abilities. I have had two cervical disc laminectomies, and could not be more pleased with the outcome.

I waited 6 months to see this man. He would not let me explain my symptoms. He only reviewed noted from another Dr. in his group. I went to him for a second opinion and he only gave me the first Dr.s opinion. He was shutting down his computer and leaving the room without explaining anything to me. He should retire. Maybe that's the plan and he just doesn't care.

I only spoke to Dr Pilcher I nce, briefly, right before the surgery. The PA, Susan Smith was awful, dehumanizing and dominating the conversation. They canceled my follow up appointment 4 times. I suppose the surgery was a success but the process, mostly due to Ms. Smith, was awful.

Dr Pilcher is a wonderful, caring, gifted doctor. His PA, Sue is also amazing. He was conservative in his treatment, trying all options before opting for surgery. I had a discotomy/laminectomy and he took wonderful care of me. I trust him with my life. I highly recommend him.

I had a benign tumor removed from my brain Aug. 3 2015. Dr Pilcher performed the surgery. It took 6 hrs just as he said it would. He was very thorough and proved that he is the best brain surgeon in the world! All went just as he planned. NO surprises. I went back to work 4 mos. latèr. I cannot recommend him high enough. For anyone who has neurologic disorders or tumors of the brain or spine, he is a MUST SEE!

What a great experience I had on my first appointment with Dr.Pilcher and Physician Assistant Susan Smith! Professional, informative, and very nice. They made me feel comfortable and less worried, as nervous as I was to hear what my diagnosis was. I recommend and them to anyone!

My experience with Dr. Pilcher was extraordinary. He, his staff, Physician's Assistant (Susan Smith), et al. were professional, friendly (no matter what they say about surgeon's bedside manners), and most importantly competent to the extreme. I would strongly recommend he and his office!
