Would not recommend
My experience with Dr. Brugge was awful. He was rude and condescending, and was not willing to listen. He is not knowledgable about IBS treatments and current research. My visit with him was a waste of time.

I recently accompanied a family member(nervous to get a colonoscopy) to his first visit with Dr. Brugge and found the doctor to be professional, approachable and respectful. He nicely explained the upcoming colonoscopy, answered questions, and set my relative at ease. After the procedure, the doctor was in touch RE the results. Based on our experience, we would recommend Dr. Brugge.

I had an endoscopy with him He was a horrible person. He did not give me the proper medication to help me with so much pain. I felt I was being tortured and felt insulted by him. His assistants were apologetic for his behavior. He never communicated the results of the procedure. STAY AWAY FROM HIM. I had the same test from another doctor and it was night and day. I wish there were negative stars to give him. I am not exaggerating!!!

I've been going to Dr. Brugge since 1994. I had my daughter and myself scheduled for the colonoscopy and endoscopy and I had such a bad experience this time. I was very much in ort and pain with both procedures and was given less meds than the year prior and they did not spray my throat. My daughter (25) was in worst pain and was not out at all for both procedures and grabbed the bar of the bed the whole time while in constant pain. We will never go back to Dr. Brugge.

Wait time was low and he seemed friendly. Was awake for my colonoscopy and he did not authorize a higher dose necessary to knock me out. I expected fully to not remember the procedure. I remember the tube down my throats for the endoscopy and the inflation of the gas for the colonoscopy was torture. Unacceptable. I was told by the staff at my young age I should have been fully sedated. Why wasn't this mentioned while MAKING THE APPOINTMENT?
