Biography: Dr. Cora Sternberg is a leading international researcher and world expert in the field of medical oncology, genitourinary (GU) cancers, and drug development. As a key opinion leader in three different types of genitourinary cancers, Dr. Sternberg isknown for her influential work in developing novel therapies and targeted agents for the treatment of prostate, renal and bladder cancers.Dr. Sternberg helped develop the original M-VAC chemotherapy regimen, as well as the double-dose/high-dose/accelerated-dose M-VAC chemotherapy regimens in bladder and urothelial cancers. These treatments are the gold standard, saving many lives and decreasing suffering in patientswith these diseases.Additionally, Dr. Sternberg has served as principal investigator or been involved in numerous practice-changing studies for prostate cancer. These research efforts have led to the FDA approvals of abiraterone acetate and enzalutamide in advanced prostate cancer. Most recently, her publication in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) demonstrated dramatic improvements in metastasis-free survival (MFS) in men with castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) without evidence of metastatic disease, but at high risk of developing metastases, a population for whom there were previously no approved therapeutics. This research led to the approval of enzalutamide in the M0 CRPC patient population.Dr. Sternberg has been instrumental in the development of the drug Pazopanib, an antiangiogenic targeted therapy, for advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Dr. Sternberg served as lead investigator in the large phase 3 international study that demonstrated the efficacy, safety and tolerability of this drug in patients with metastatic kidney cancer, culminating in the FDA approval. She has also participated in the development of other antiagiogenic agents such as sunitinib, cabozantinib, tivozanib and dovitinib to treat renal cell cancer.At Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Sternberg will facilitate the continued growth and development of clinical and translational research programs in genitourinary (GU) malignancies, with a particular emphasis on expanding the breadth and depth of clinical and translational research. Biography: Dr. Barbara T. Ma, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Ma graduated with B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College. Biography: Dr. Stein is an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at Columbia University Medical Center. He is a recognized expert in field of genitourinary oncology treating patients with prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers. He is also a member of the Experimental Therapeutics program, investigating novel therapies across all solid tumors. In addition to providing standard therapies for the treatment of genitourinary cancers such as hormonal therapy, molecularly targeted therapy and chemotherapy, Dr. Stein leads multiple investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials. Dr. Stein has a particular interest in the development of novel immune therapies for the treatment of prostate cancer, both in men with early recurrence of prostate cancer as well as in men with more advanced prostate cancer. Fortunately, due to innovative treatments as well as a change in the medical mindset, we are now able to approach cancer therapy with a goal of maximizing quality of life while at the same time controlling disease. In many areas of oncology, especially in advanced, difficult to treat cancers and metastatic disease, the key to pursuing therapy is individualizing treatment to the patient's personal ability to withstand therapy. Biography: Paul Chapman, MD is currently the Chief Medical Research Officer for the Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Chapman received his M.D. degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in 1981 and trained in internal medicine as an intern and resident at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics from 1981-1984. After that, he returned to New York as a medical oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer where he focused on immunotherapy of melanoma in the laboratory of Dr. Alan Houghton. He joined the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 1988 and worked there through 2023 as a tenured Attending Physician. During this time at MSKCC, Dr. Chapman led many clinical and laboratory studies designed to develop new and improved treatments for melanoma. This included the first BRAF targeted therapy trial and several immunotherapy trials. His research continues to focus on developing new treatments for melanoma.

Biography: Diane George, MD cares for children and adolescents undergoing stem cell transplantation as a treatment for cancer (particularly leukemia and lymphoma), noncancerous blood disorders (like sickle cell anemia), and immunodeficiencies. She specializes in transplantation for patients who don't have a related bone marrow donor, and also takes care of patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation for solid tumors. Dr. George was originally attracted to the field of pediatric oncology because she wanted to take on the challenge of fighting pediatric cancer, and stem cell transplantation offers the ultimate cure in select patients. It is a complex medical field, and Dr. George enjoys being able to take care of children with complex medical conditions. Dr. George also conducts clinical research. She is currently evaluating a procedure called "CD34-selected stem cell transplantation" to remove T-cells from donor bone marrow. This approach reduces the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) - a potential complication of bone marrow transplantation in which T-cells from the donor attack the tissue of the recipient. This approach benefits patients who do not have a well-matched family donor, and it could potentially make bone marrow transplantation an option for more patients. Dr. George is also interested in studying how a patient's immune system rebuilds itself after CD34-selected stem cell transplantation. Biography: Prakash Satwani, MD specializes in the use of bone marrow transplantation to treat children and adolescents with leukemia, lymphoma, or hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. Bone marrow transplantation is a dynamic, intriguing field with multiple complex issues. Dr. Satwani has always enjoyed solving puzzles and is attracted to the intellectual challenge of caring for patients whose lives may be saved or extended with bone marrow transplantation. Dr. Satwani is also inspired and motivated by the long-lasting and rich relationships formed with patients and their families, and often keeps in touch with families long after their child's treatment has been completed. Dr. Satwani teaches medical students, residents, fellows, nurses, and nurse practitioners about bone marrow transplantation. It's important to educate people so they can learn the latest advances and provide the best care possible for patients. To continue to achieve those advances, Dr. Satwani conducts clinical research in reducing the life-threatening complications related to transplantation, such as infections and graft-versus-host disease. Dr. Satwani and colleagues also evaluate reduced-intensity bone marrow transplantation preparative regimens, which use lower doses of chemotherapy with the hope of decreasing short-term and long-term complications without compromising the effectiveness of treatment.

Biography: Dr. Catherine Shu isthe Price Family Associate Professor of Medicine anda board-certified medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of thoracic cancers, with a focus on lung cancer. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, followed by her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After residency at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Shu completed her fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she was appointed Chief Fellow. She currently serves as the Director of the Thoracic Medical Oncology Service. She has presented her work at numerous international conferences and has published in the top peer-reviewed oncology journals. She treats the entire spectrum of lung cancer, but has a particular interest in earlier stage and surgically resectable disease, specifically on drug combinations to help improve survival in this setting. Additionally, she devotes part of her research effort to patients with targetable mutations, helping to determine the best sequence of treatments. He then completed fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center where he served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Ingham specializes in the care of patients with sarcoma and gastrointestinal cancers and is also an active member of the experimental therapeutics unit. His research focuses on the development and clinical evaluation of new treatments for patients with sarcoma. He leads a National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored clinical trial evaluating a new treatment approach for uterine leiomyosarcoma based on research conducted at Columbia University. He also leads several other investigator-initiated clinical trials evaluating new targeted and immunotherapy based treatment approaches for leiomyosarcoma, liposarcoma and other types of sarcoma. He is the author of two recent authoritative reviews on the treatment of sarcoma published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. After receiving his medical degree from University of Delhi, India, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai-Queens Hospital Center. Subsequently, he spent three years as a clinical researcher in plasma cell disorders at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, followed by fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. During fellowship, he conducted outcomes research with a focus on quality of life and treatment-related toxicities in plasma cell disorders. After fellowship, he started his job as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Chakraborty cares primarily for patients with plasma cells disorders, including multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, MGUS, POEMS syndrome, and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. Biography: Ellen Cole, NP is a Nurse Practitioner who practices in New York, NY. Ellen Cole, NP is affiliated with Newyork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.

Biography: My expertise is in pediatric hematology and oncology, with a particular focus on leukemias and lymphomas, or cancers of the blood, bone marrow, or lymph nodes. I am especially interested in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Because children are growing and developing, CML treatment and management present unique challengesthe same treatment options that work best for grown-ups may not be the right strategies for kids. I treat children, adolescents, and young adults. I love working with this population and developing long-lasting relationships with my young patients. I am especially passionate about delivering personalized care to each of thembecause no two kids are the same. Diseases like leukemia and lymphoma are challenging for anyone, but they can be especially hard on children. Symptoms like fatigue and joint pain can make it hard to move, play, and act like a kid, and some treatments can have severe side effects. I work to manage children's symptoms and choose the right treatments for their disease, based on their individual needs. Helping these children is the most satisfying goal I can imagine. My research revolves around the treatment of pediatric leukemias and lymphomas. I continue to explore the impact of current treatments, and I collaborate with basic science researchers to translate their breakthroughs into new drug development. I have also been involved in cancer survivorship research. As a professor and the section head of pediatric oncology, I am deeply committed to educating and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows and helping to prepare the next generation of leaders in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Biography: Margaret T Lee, MD cares for children with blood disorders, such as anemias (sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, and iron deficiency), bleeding (including idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura [ITP], hemophilia, and von Willebrand disease), and clotting disorders (such as deep vein thrombosis). Dr. Lee's area of interest is a rare group of diseases called vascular anomalies. There is relatively little known about these disorders, and the care of patients with vascular anomalies requires a multidisciplinary group of physicians from several specialties (dermatology, surgery, cardiology, neurology, and hematology/oncology)-all of whom are available at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. Hematologists play a role in the medical treatment of vascular tumors and the supportive care of clotting and bleeding complications that are associated with some types of vascular malformations. Dr. Lee is an active participant in the Vascular Anomalies Group at NYP/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, as well as the Vascular Anomalies Special Interest Group of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, which is looking at novel therapies for vascular anomalies and their complications.

Biography: Dr. Joseph Jurcic is a Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and the Director of the Hematologic Malignancies Section within the Division of Hematology/Oncology. He specializes in Medical Oncology and focuses on leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative disorders. Based in New York, NY, Dr. Jurcic is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his M.D. from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is board-certified in both Medical Oncology and Hematology.Dr. Jurcic's clinical expertise includes the treatment of acute and chronic leukemias, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and myelodysplastic syndromes. His research interests encompass acute myeloid leukemia, radioimmunotherapy with alpha and beta particle-emitting radioisotopes, monoclonal antibody therapy, developing novel small molecule inhibitors, and molecular monitoring of minimal residual disease. Recognized as one of New York Magazine's "Best Doctors" from 2014 to 2024, he has authored or co-authored over 80 articles and book chapters. He has served as the principal investigator on more than 25 clinical trials. Additionally, Dr. Jurcic lectures at national and international conferences and is the Leukemia Section Editor for The Oncologist.

Biography: Dr. Noah Cohen, MD is a General Surgery Specialist who practices in New York, NY. He is 42 years old and has been practicing for 15 years. Dr. Noah Cohen, MD is affiliated with Mount Sinai Brooklyn, Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens.

Care Philosophy: As a full-time breast surgeon, Dr Rebecca Yang focuses exclusively on the care of women with malignant and benign breast disease with a comprehensive patient-centered approach. She has expertise in advanced surgical procedures including sentinel lymph node biopsies and nipple sparing mastectomies. She has a strong interest in the role of integrative therapy in the management and subsequent survivorship care planning for women with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Biography: Rohit K. Jain MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Jain earned his medical degree at Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, India. He completed Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute University at Buffalo, New York. After fellowship, Dr. Jain, joined the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida as Assistant Professor, and was instrumental in building the bladder cancer program. Dr. Jain was selected as Castle Connolly "Top Doctor" for 2024, as well as one of America's Best Prostate Cancer Oncologist by Newsweek magazine in 2024. Dr. Jain was recruited to Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) in 2024. He cares for patients with bladder (urothelial), kidney (renal), prostate and testicular cancers, with a major focus in urothelial cancers. His research interests are primarily in urothelial and prostate cancers. Dr. Jain is involved in biomarker research as well as developing innovative clinical trials for patients, and he has received funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Biography: Amer Assal MD is a board certified medical oncologist and hematologist who specializes in the use of autologous and allogeneic bone marrow stem cell transplantation for the treatment of multiple myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes and other bone marrow disorders. Dr. Assal completed his medical education and internal medicine training at NYU School of Medicine. He was also a hospitalist in the department of medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center caring for patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses, including stem cell transplant patients. Dr. Assal completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he also served as chief fellow. He finally completed a fellowship in blood and marrow stem cell transplantation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His research interests center around improving outcomes of stem cell transplantation and the diseases it is used to treat. He has a particular interest in immunotherapy and studying ways to harness the immune system to attack tumor cells, while at the same time decreasing the risk of graft versus host disease. He is also interested in studying therapeutic interventions to prevent and treat relapse of disease after stem cell transplantation. He has presented his research at several national conferences and was awarded an American Society of Hematology Abstract Achievement award for his research.

Biography: Dr. Lisa Roth is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is also the Director of the Adolescent and Young Adult Lymphoma Program at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Roth has been named the Charles, Lillian, and Betty Neuwirth Clinical Scholar in Pediatric Oncology. Dr. Roth completed her undergraduate work at Duke University. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Roth conducted her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and her fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and NewYork-Presbyterian where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Roth specializes in treating children, adolescents and young adults with lymphoma and leukemia. She is a member of the Children's Oncology Group and an active participant in Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma clinical trials. She is also a member of the Weill Cornell Center for Lymphoma, a group which is internationally recognized for it's leadership in the treatment of patients with lymphoma. Dr. Roth's research focuses on identifying new treatments for children with lymphoma. She is particularly interested identifying novel targeted therapies. Targeted therapies may be less toxic than conventional chemotherapy and may be able to rescue those patients with chemotherapy-resistant disease. Dr. Roth has been recognized for her work with awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Lymphoma Research Foundation, Hyundai Hope on Wheels Foundation, and the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Biography: Jedd Wolchok, MD, PhD, FASCO, is the Meyer Director of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Wolchok was most recently Chief of the Immuno-Oncology Service and held The Lloyd J. Old Chair in Clinical Investigation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and remains Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Wolchok is a clinician-scientist exploring innovative immunotherapeutic strategies in laboratory models, and a principal investigator in numerous pivotal clinical trials. Dr. Wolchok helped establish immunotherapy as a standard approach to cancer treatment and was instrumental in the clinical development leading to the approval of ipilimumab and the combination of nivolumab and ipilimumab for advanced melanoma. He supervises an NIH R01-funded basic science laboratory which is focused on investigating novel immunotherapeutic agents in pre-clinical laboratory models. The focus of his translational research laboratory is to investigate innovative means to modulate the immune response to cancer as well as to better understand the mechanistic basis for sensitivity and resistance to currently available immunotherapies. Dr. Wolchok received his BA degree from Princeton University, and his MS, PhD and MD degrees from New York University. Dr. Wolchok has received numerous honors for his work including: American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Memorial Award, the Giants of Cancer Care in Melanoma Award, the Berson Alumni Achievement Award in Clinical and Translational Science and the Zelmanovich Young Alumni Achievement Award from NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the Alfred Taubman Prize for Excellence in Translational Medical Research (Univ of Michigan) and has been designated a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO). Most recently, he has been awarded the the Distinguished Alumni Award at MSK, the AACR-Joseph H. Burchenal Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Cancer Research, the ESMO Award for Immuno-Oncology and the David Karnofsky Award from ASCO. Dr. Wolchok has served on the Board of Directors of ASCO and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) and currently is the Treasurer of SITC. He is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI) and the Association of American Physicians (AAP) and is Chair of the Melanoma Committee for the ECOG-ACRIN NCI cooperative group. He is a full member of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and center director for the Parker Institute of Cancer Immunotherapy.

Biography: Dr. Rosenzweig is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Rosenzweig completed her undergraduate work at Emory University. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She conducted her residency in Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and her fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the joint program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NewYork-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.Dr. Rosenzweig specializes in treating children and adolescents with leukemia and lymphoma, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myelogenous leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.Dr. Rosenzweig's clinical and research interests lie in identifying new treatments for children with leukemia. She is particularly interested in identifying novel targeted therapies. She is a member of the Children's Oncology Group.

Biography: Dr. Shipra Kaicker is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and Associate Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Her clinical areas of interest are pediatric hematology, platelet disorders, immune cytopenias, anemias, sickle cell disease and bone marrow failure syndromes. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Dr. Kaicker received her M.B.B.S. degree at Lady Hardinge Medical College at the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. She completed her M.D. and Pediatric Residency at Maulana Azad Medical College, also at the University of New Delhi, where she also served as Senior Registrar (Chief Resident) in Pediatrics. Dr. Kaicker expanded her training in New York City, where she completed a Post-Doctoral Clinical Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship, both in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, at Columbia University Medical Center, and an additional Pediatric Residency at Saint Vincent's Medical Center. Dr. Kaicker is a clinical researcher and is participating in clinical trials for childhood immune thrombocytopenia as part of ICON ( ITP Consortium of North America) and collaborating with basic science researchers to identify biomarkers in childhood ITP

Biography: Dr. Gulati obtained her medical degree from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in Mumbai, India, followed by a pediatrics residency at SUNY Downstate Medical center. She completed my pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at the joint program between New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She then went on to complete a year of specialized training in Pediatric lymphoma and Histiocytosis at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital Cancer and Hematology Centers in Houston, Texas. Dr. Gulati subsequently joined the lymphoma and histiocytosis team as an Assistant professor and worked there between 2019-2023.Dr. Gulati's research and clinical interests focus on identifying pathogenic mechanisms of pediatric lymphoma and histiocytosis through collaborative and comprehensive research projects that look at the histologic, molecular, and genomic features of these diseases with the ultimate goal of identifying potential novel therapeutic targets.Dr. Gulati is an active member of the pediatric non-Hodgkin lymphoma committee of the children's oncology group and serves as the vice-chair on the upcoming first of its kind trial for relapsed L.C.H. conducted by the C.O.G. She is an active member of the North American Consortium for Histiocytosis (NACHO) and a steering committee member of the INTO-HLH.
