Dr Das fixed my diverticulitis once and for all
I had been dealing with diverticulitis flare-ups for years. The pain would come out of nowhere and completely derail my life. He took the time to explain my condition, why it kept coming back, and laid out a clear plan for resolving it once and for all.Dr. Das recommended minimally invasive surgery, and I was nervous, but he made me feel comfortable and confident moving forward. The surgery went perfectly, and the recovery was so much smoother than I expected. Within days, I was feeling better and more hopeful than I had in years. It’s been months now, and I haven’t had a single flare-up.Dr. Das didn’t just fix the problem—he gave me my life back. He’s an amazing surgeon who truly cares about his patients. Dr Das saved my life
Getting diagnosed with colon cancer came out of nowhere—I went in for a routine check after some mild symptoms, and the next thing I knew, I was being told I had a tumor. I was shocked, scared, and completely overwhelmed. My primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Das, and from our first meeting, I felt like I could breathe again. He didn’t sugarcoat anything, but he explained my diagnosis and options in a way that made everything feel manageable.Dr. Das laid out a clear surgical plan and answered every one of my (many) questions with patience and kindness. He performed a minimally invasive surgery to remove the tumor, and I was surprised by how quickly I was able to get back on my feet. He and his team checked in often and truly made me feel like I wasn’t going through this alone. Now, a few months out from surgery, I’m cancer-free—and so incredibly grateful. Dr. Das didn’t just treat my cancer—he guided me through one of the hardest moments of my life with compassion and expert car

Dr. Das Saved Me from a Life-Threatening Blockage
I was rushed to the hospital with severe pain and was diagnosed with a colonic obstruction. It was terrifying—I could barely eat, and the pain was unbearable. The doctors in the ER told me I needed surgery, and I was lucky enough to have Dr. Das as my surgeon. From the moment he stepped into my room, he was calm, confident, and completely in control. He explained everything clearly, reassured my family, and made sure I understood what needed to happen. The surgery went perfectly. Dr. Das used a minimally invasive approach, and within days, I was feeling better than I ever expected. The recovery process was much smoother than I imagined, and I could tell right away that I was in the hands of a truly skilled surgeon. He checked in on me regularly, answered every question, and made sure I was on the right path to healing.Dr. Das didn’t just fix the blockage—he gave me back my quality of life. I can’t thank him enough for his expertise and kindness during such a scary time.

I would not pass on Dr Das! You may regret it!
I did all may research when I got diagnosed with colon cancer. Thought I should go to Md Anderson... when I went there it was excellent but they treated me like another case... there were PAs and nurses but my surgeon is off doing research. So who really is operating on me. Ok, I find Dr Das. I wait for a little, but this guy is FOCUSED. He gives me a battle plan. His scheduler is super sweet, reminds me of my daughter. Surgery is scheduled and with the smallest incision ever, I go home the same day and the nurses are all telling me stories about how great he is. I am so glad I chose against MD Anderson and went with Dr Das. Im writing this review cancer free and feeling optimism that I lost.

Dr. Das made my first colonoscopy a breeze
At 52 years old, I finally made the appointment for my first colonoscopy with Dr. Das, and I am very glad I did. The whole idea of the procedure was always a little anxiety-provoking for me, but Dr. Das and his staff were very reassuring. During the colonoscopy, he easily found and removed a couple of polyps and explained that this was the fortunate part of catching them early. It was quick and painless, and I was informed throughout. Dr. Das's professionalism and transparency made what was considered a daunting experience quite simple. If you're overdue for a screening, don't hesitate—Dr. Das is the doctor to see.

Rectal Cancer Defeated! I rang the bell!
Being diagnosed with rectal cancer was really, really scary, but Dr. Das made it all seem manageable. He took the time to clearly explain my diagnosis, took me through a detailed treatment plan, and then was patient and kind in answering all my questions. He suggested the total neoadjuvant therapy to reduce the tumor before surgery and coordinated closely with my oncologist to make everything go well. By the time surgery came, he was able to do a minimally invasive procedure, and my recovery was faster than I thought it would be.What impressed most, however, was how he married that vast experience with personal contact. He treated me as an individual, not a case, and made me feel looked after at every stage. His staff were equally considerate and professional; in turn, this made everything so much easier. If you're facing rectal cancer, I really can't recommend Dr. Das more-highly qualified, yet he genuinely cares for his patients.

Dr Das Cured My Colon Cancer
The first time I heard the words 'colon cancer,' I froze. Everything seemed so unsure, and I didn't know where to turn. My doctor referred me to Dr. Das, and from the very first meeting, he made the uncertainty melt away. Dr. Das sat down with me-not as a surgeon, but as someone who truly cared about what I was going through. He never rushed me through or overwhelmed me with medical terms, but rather explained in detail my diagnosis, the type of surgery I would have, and what to expect in recovery. Most of all, I was so taken by his calm demeanor. Dr. Das never promised anything that wasn't fulfilled, but he did make very clear what our goal was and how he could help me reach it. He did a minimally invasive procedure to take out the cancer, and I couldn't believe how fast I was back on my feet. The cuts were small, and recovery was way better than expected. He even made it a point to check in with me personally during my follow-ups, which made me feel not just like another case.

Dr., Das was woth the fight to find
Being diagnosed with rectal cancer was terrifying, and my primary doctor referred me to Dr. Das at UT. When I called, I was told he’d left, and instead of helping me find him, the staff kept pushing me to other doctors I didn’t know. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially when I was already overwhelmed. Determined to find him, I scoured the internet and finally tracked him down at Southwest Surgical Associates.Meeting Dr. Das was worth every bit of effort. He took the time to explain my diagnosis and walked me through a personalized treatment plan, including minimally invasive surgery. His kindness and expertise made all the difference, and the surgery was a complete success. My recovery was faster than I expected, and Dr. Das personally checked in to make sure I was healing well.Dr. Das truly cares about his patients, and I’m so grateful I found him. Don't Fall for Ghost Surgery
After years of diverticulitis, I was referred to a well-known doctor at the Texas Medical Center. His reputation was impressive, but I quickly learned he rarely performed surgeries himself, passing patients off to residents or junior surgeons, but his name was on the billing. That didn’t sit right with me—I wanted to know the surgeon I trusted would be the one in the operating room.Thankfully, I got a second opinion with Dr. Das, and it was the best decision I’ve made. From the start, he was attentive and explained my condition in detail, recommending minimally invasive surgery for a faster recovery. Most importantly, he promised he would personally perform the procedure, and that gave me the peace of mind I needed. The surgery went flawlessly, and my recovery was quick and smooth. Dr. Das followed up personally, answering all my questions and making me feel truly cared for. If you want a skilled surgeon who puts you first, Dr. Das is the one. I’m so grateful to have found him.
