Dr. Donald Wiss, MD

Dr Wiss performed a second surgery after first Surgeon Botched the initial surgery. Dr Wiss made a “FANTASTIC” repair and got me back to walking.

Dr. Wiss performed surgery to repair my tibial plateau fracture (suffered skiing). He spent a lot of time getting to know me as a patient and a person, and knew that my goal was to recover soon enough to do the Race Across America on my bicycle. I made that goal ... in no small part due to his skill as a surgeon and his willingness to consider my conditioning and my goals in the treatment plan. The results were excellent, and I appreciated our candid discussions about the injury and treatment. IMHO, the most important quality in a doctor is that you can put your mind at ease and your trust in them. That is exactly what I did. I don't give 5 star reviews very often, but Dr. Wiss richly deserves it. Thank you!

Dr. Wiss is caring, and has the experience and expertise necessary to repairing complex fractures. He corrected a non-union of my ulna that entailed a graft from my iliac. Had I found him for the original procedure, the graft likely would not have been necessary. As he reviewed the pre- and post-surgical x-rays, it was clear that his procedure was superior to the original, providing complete stabilization of the bone and enabling full use. An excellent surgeon.

As a doctor myself, I want to thank him for saving my horribly mutilated and broken leg. Many other surgeons failed to successfully mend it, but Dr. Wiss repaired it his first attempt. I am now walking and even running again. I have even done gentle skiing on it. Dr. Wiss is a genius and is in a class all by himself. My highest recommendation. Craig Gordon DMD
