I always have an excellent experience with Dr. Pfeiffer. He is clear, straightforward. I understand my condition. I understand the good and bad of it. I understand what was able to be surgically fixed and understand my very bad fracture. He listens thoroughly to my questions. I would definitely recommend him as a surgeon and doctor and I am extremely satisfied with my experience at CEDARS and would recommend them and have recommended them too many people.

He spoke to me for about 12 minutes and was literally walking out the door as I was mid-sentence, asking pertinent questions about my injury and possible future care. His bedside manner is atrocious and uncaring. He barely looked at the injured area and instead rushed through the appointment. It left me feeling extremely flustered. I likely need surgery and will be seeking a second opinion elsewhere - I don't believe that Dr. Pfeffer cares enough about me as a patient to treat me with care and dignity during a surgical procedure. During the first visit in June, Dr. Pfeffer recommended an MRI if PT failed; however, because he didn't believe me then when I suspected my ankle injury was more than a sprain, he didn't mark MRI in my chart and I had to come back for this otherwise unnecessary follow-up (since I was only there to get the MRI ordered).

Dr. Pfeffer was a bad diagnostician
Dr. Pfeffer was a bad diagnostician who gives very limited time to the patient or himself for analysis or diagnosis. This resulted in wasted time, pain and incorrect growth of tissue which he was not willing to consider or prevent by ordering an MRI. He gives people max 5 min which is hardly enough time to carefully examine an Xray or the patient's injury. He is unreachable (as well as his assistants) after the visit and would not listen or consider to patient's experience or needs.

Terrible
I went to this dr. as a third opinion for avascular necrosis of my left talus.I waited two hours in the waiting room to see him. Finally, I was called in. He wanted to know what other Dr's. I had seen. One was a DPM specializing in ankles. When dr. P heard this, he arrogantly began to put down the dpm saying the dpm wasn't skilled enough and that dr.p was the only hope.I went with the dpm and am so glad I did.

Dr Pfeffer didn't want to listen to me, but rather make his own assumptions and belittle me. I went to cedars in hopes for a positive outcome but instead cried for the 5 hour ride home and made the decision the following day that I will not have the surgery I need at Cedars Sinai.
