Dr. James Shammas, MD

Dr. Shammas listens to my concerns. He discusses treatment options with me without dismissing my concerns. He is a wonderful doctor. I love the office staff, as well. They are all willing and ready to help.

Very confident and nice guy. He put me at ease and was supportive during painful nerve test.

This was an initial visit to have an EMG of my hand, arms and fingers for possible neuropathy. Everything was fine and I left looking forward to my next appointment tomorrow.

Dr.Shammas really seemed to care and want to help me figure out what is causing my issues. He did a thorough exam and ordered testing.

Dr. SHAMMAS is a scientist who speaks in the vernacular. All of his statements are clear and easily understood. He also is an excellent listener. Patients can all be assured that communication will be both clear and complete. Icing on the cake: he is supported by a staff of courteous professionals who make sure things operate smoothly.

Dr. Shammas was knowledgeable, caring, and seemed to have a sixth sense about the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of symptoms that had heretofore stumped my other doctors. I have already recommended Dr. Shammas to three friends, and am sure that they, too, will feel the warmth from his genuine smile, his down-to earth demeanor that makes a patient feel as comfortable as if they were speaking with a good friend, and enjoy the satisfaction of a valuable doctor-patient relationship that is rare to have these days — one in which there is not a whit of arrogance, obvious time-keeping tactics, or a dismissive attitude from the doctor, and in which the patient feels safe and able to express their concerns openly, without the fear of ridicule, knowing in their hearts and minds that they made the right choice in selecting and entrusting Dr. James Shammas with their care.

Knowledgeable thorough

Front desk very helpful getting me in to see Dr. Shammas same day. Reception well managed and smooth. Saw Dr. Shammas on time. He was thorough, listened, read report of my ER visit then suggested reasonable follow up tests. Very pleased.

Dr made me feel that he was listening to me, and trying to make me feel comfortable with our plans going forward. Liked that he was early for my appointment.

It was hard not to laugh out loud. He is overly arrogant . very impressed with himself - unwarranted.

It seemed as if I was bothering him describing what I had gone through and was constantly challenging me. Even after all the test results came back and the diagnosis was I had a stroke he still was indifferent to me. All he cared about was pushing me off to his staff to schedule the needed rehab. Luckily the rehab team cared about what they did for a living and started me on my recovery.

Dr. took the time to address all my concerns and explain anything that I was uncertain of.

Dr. Shammas is a professional, personal and caring medic that listens attentively and offers insights and explanations into diagnosis and reasonable solutions to your issues. This is my second time seeing this good doctor regarding two separate issues and in both cases have found him to be professional, caring and solution driven. I strongly recommend Dr. Shammas. Dr. Shammas was lovely. The test was a bit painful and he was very caring and concerned for my comfort. He clearly explained everything he was doing.

Was a little late because of traffic and they were very accommodating. Dr explained what he was doing with the test. Would return to this group.

He explained the EMG test that he was going to do on me and he was pleasant and personable and gave me good suggestions as to what caused my issue and possible resolutions .
