Amazing physician
I saw Dr. Cronin in April after seeing three other health care professionals. He spent over 50 minutes with me explaining what the MRI had revealed. He explained the risks of surgery to me in a way I could understand and answered all my questions. I had surgery in June which was successful in treating my cervical stenosis and relieving me of left shoulder arm and neck pain. He is a wonderful surgeon and I recommend him highly.

I Got My Life Back
I'm a 60 year old guy and for the last few years, I had been in constant pain from degenerative spine disease in my low back. I was taking a heavy dose of painkillers every day and was unable to work or find much enjoyment in life. Now, a few months after my surgery, I feel like a different person and am looking forward to playing pickleball again soon. Dr. Cronin did spinal fusion with a laminectomy (removing some bone to take pressure off nerves), stabilizing my spine with a spacer and two metal screws (he even provided all the hardware) :) Dr. Cronin thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect afterwards, and I felt very prepared going into the surgery, and his staff is always friendly and helpful to work with.

Run The Other Way
A good doctor is attentive, respectful, patient, understanding, intelligent, thorough, and caring. Dr.Cronin is none of these. He should be barred from practicing. He is however, egoistical, impatient, uncaring, rude, and dismissive. Disgusting. This is why he has a job at HVMA. No standards there. Sad.

I’m Pain Free!
It’s been 2 weeks since my Laminectomy surgery and today I had the staples removed. I’ve been walking without pain since the surgery and feel like I’m getting stronger everyday. Prior to my surgery, Dr. Cronin explained exactly how the procedure would go and what I could expect. I can’t thank him and his team enough!

Surgery was so worth it
Dr. Cronin is terrific! Explains everything clearly, inspires confidence and made my spinal fusion surgery not quite so scary. Surgery was 7 months ago and I have fully healed. Pain is gone -- no more sciatica! I am back to a normal life with no pain or restrictions. I can walk, stand, lift, bend and twist better than I have in years and I could not be more grateful to Dr. Cronin for giving me my active life back. Highly recommend!

This is the best Orthopedic Dr I have ever seen .
I have been seeing Dr Cronin he did my sciatic nerve low back surgery, he is the best Orthopedic Dr I have ever seen he is very thorough about the care and his entire care team are all great people.he truly knows his job bcos my first time ever he sent me to do X-ray n MRI he told me I needed surgery right away but I was so afraid that I opted for injections that didn't help he educated me about the excruciating horrible chronic pains I was going through that the surgery will help and I eventually agreed to do it and I never regretted it all.

Pain Relief
Dr. Cronin is the best, he relived the pain in my leg by doing back surgery. I am so happy I thought the pain would never go away I am able to stand and walk. I cannot express how grateful I am. He listened to everything I said and did a great job.

Herniated Disc
I was very fortunate to meet Dr. Cronin only a few days after an MRI revealed that I was suffering from a herniated Disc. You can say that that is their job as a doctor but I must express how knowledgeable Dr. Cronin was to my situation and what must be done to get me out of pain. Dr. Cronin performed the necessary surgery and got me back on my feet and back to my life!

spinal surgery
Dr. Cronin performed spinal surgery on me on December 11, 2023 at N.E. Baptist, Boston. It's been 2 weeks and the staples came out today. I've never had pain, only achy legs. The morning after surgery Dr. Cronin was at my bedside to check in on me at 6:15 A.M. All through the time before and after surgery he was always ready to answer all my questions. I thank him for sending me to physical therapy for 8 weeks before surgery as it helped me be ready to get in and out of bed, walk, climb stairs, etc. I cannot imagine a more personable, skilled, and knowledgeable doctor than Dr. Cronin.

Excellent surgeon
Dr. Cronin is awesome! He did my laminectomy/discectomy surgery and it was very successful. He has excellent bedside manner and he's clearly a skilled surgeon. I'm doing well post-surgery, and thankful to be able to walk without pain. I can't recommend him enough!

Extremely pleased with Dr. Cronin
Dr. Cronin did a fantastic job with my surgery. When I first met with him he listen to me and didn't rush me. He went over all the options and explained the procedure so I understood what would happen. After the surgery I was surprised how I was able to get up and walk, I thought I would be using a walker for the 6 weeks after. 2 weeks later I was walking with little assistance and week 3 I was walking 20 minutes with no assistance. I'm so pleased with how the surgery went and how well I am doing and I would strongly recommend Dr. Cronin if you need to have surgery.

Very good surgeon
Dr. Cronin explained very clearly what was going on, my options, and potential outcomes. He spent as long with me as I needed to understand, and made sure my questions were answered. On the day of my surgery, he was very thorough during prep, making sure (again) that I understood my options, and expressed willingness to make changes to my treatment plan as needed, even at the last minute. The procedure itself was, from my perspective, extremely well-planned and well-managed. My recovery has been quite smooth as well, with almost no pain from the moment I woke up. I asked a couple of his staff members - knowing they'd be honest about Dr. Cronin's talent - if I'd just gotten lucky, or if he was really that good. They all told me the same thing: Dr. Cronin is on another level as a surgeon. He's very good.

Very Successful Surgery!!
I think what stood out to me the most was he took the time to listen to my issue. Once I explained the pain I was in, he was empathetic to my needs and he then took the time to discuss options and possible outcomes. He explained the procedure and what the recovery period would entail. He was extremely thorough. I never felt rushed which is important when discussing the potential for surgery. I had back and leg pain for close to 10 years to the point I could not walk 100 yards, not stand for more than 5 minutes nor sleep through the night without leg cramps. Within 2 weeks of the surgery I was walking up to 1 mile per day 3 days per week and within a month I was up up 2 miles per day, PAIN FREE. This surgery was a miracle for me.

Where do I start?
Like the title says, where do I start?? Dr Cronin is AMAZING! I had been struggling for months with a csf leak that another surgeon wouldn’t even acknowledge. Within less than 24 hrs Dr Cronin had a plan of care and was great at explaining what was going to happen before during and after surgery. Even during follow up although he was a little hard to find (he’s part of Atrius Health which you need to register with first) Dr Cronin was extremely kind and thorough as far as next steps. I would recommend this surgeon time and time again. If you want someone to give you all the information and listen to/address all your concerns this is your guy!

Outstanding surgeon
I had emergency surgery with Dr. Cronin. He truly saved my life and I can now walk with a walker. Hoping to get even better. His bedside manner was amazing from the first time I met him prior to surgery. He continued to address all my concerns clearly and with understanding. I was truly lucky to have him on call that July 4th.
