Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr Marcos Nores is a board certified thoracic surgeon. He received his medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and completed a Cardiothoracic residency at The George Washington University.Dr Nores then proceeded to acquire expertise in complex adult cardiac surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio where he practiced as an Associate Staff for three years. He then practiced in Ashland, KY at King's Daughters Medical Center, where he became chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and has performed over 2500 cases over the last seven years. Under his leadership the cardiac surgery program became one of the top 5% in the nation in both coronary and valvular heart surgery. Dr Nores has an interest in structural heart disease, coronary re-operations, thoracic aneurysm surgery including arch thoraco-abdominal operations. He is also interested in IHSS, heart failure surgery including surgical ventricular restoration and ventricular assist devices and thoracic oncology and minimally invasive approaches.

Accola, MD, is a board-certified thoracic surgeon specializing in mitral valve repair, aortic valve procedures and ascending aortic aneurysms with clinical interests in new valvular technology, cardiac protective drugs and critical care studies. Dr. Accola earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois School of medicine in Chicago, IL. His medical education continued when he completed his residency in general surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He then became a cardiovascular and thoracic surgery fellow at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Accola is a member of many medical organizations, including the Patient Advocacy Council, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Society of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgeons Council, and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Accola has been performing cardiac and thoracic surgeries at AdventHealth for over two decades and has performed over 9,000 cardiac surgical procedures.

Biography: John Roberts, M.D., is a board-certified thoracic and cardiac surgeon at Baptist Health Lynn Cancer Institute, focusing on surgical treatments of lung and esophageal cancers. Dr. Roberts earned his medical degree with honors from Yale University and earned his MBA at Auburn University. His postgraduate training included an internship and residency program in surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he served as chief resident in surgery and completed an oncology and trauma fellowship. Dr. Roberts went on to complete an additional residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Brigham & Womens Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Hes an Army Reserve veteran and has held several faculty and hospital administration appointments. Over the years, hes earned a reputation among patients and peers for being on the cutting edge of medicine. He uses robotic surgery to minimize pain and recovery and improve results. Dr. Roberts is a founding member of the Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery Interest group and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Cell and Tissue Kinetics and the American College of Chest. When not treating patients, Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.

Care Philosophy: George J. Palmer, MD, is a board-certified thoracic surgeon with specialty training in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. Currently serving as the Director of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Cardiovascular Institute, he has special interests in minimally invasive surgical approaches including robotic-assisted surgery, electrophysiology of the heart, and all aspects pertaining to adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Palmer earned his medical degree at Creighton University in Nebraska and completed his surgical internship and residency UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL, capping his tenure there as Chief Resident. He next served as a resident in cardiothoracic transplant and as a Cardiothoracic Research Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, continuing there as a resident in thoracic surgery and finally as Chief Resident of cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Palmer has been in practice here in Central Florida since 1989.
