Biography: Dr. Orhan Sancaktar received his cardiovascular training at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, The University of Illinois at Chicago and The Medical College of Wisconsin. A board certified internist, Dr. Sancaktar was both a resident in internal medicine and pediatrics and an assistant professor in clinical medicine at The University of Illinois at Chicago. Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Jonathan Sherman, MD, FACC joined Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates in 2014 and thrives off the practice's dynamic and team-focused approach. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He specializes in complex coronary and structural heart intervention to include a special interest in chronic total occlusion (CTO) and valvular interventions. Prior to joining ADCA, Dr. Sherman practiced for seven years in Colorado Springs, but moved to Denver to be closer to family and grow his practice of CTO interventions through collaboration with his ADCA peers. He has an extensive academic and research background, having spent time researching basic principles of medicine and cardiology at each stage of his training. During fellowship, he received a Certificate in Bioinformatics from Oxford University in England, studying the genetics of collateral vessel formation in cardiac patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. Sherman is an avid fly fisherman. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and spending time with his wife and two boys. As a graduate of Cherry Creek High School, he is thrilled to return to Denver to continue his career. Dr. Sherman has impacted his patient's lives with his knowledge and commitment to high quality care.
